Topamax is used to prevent seizures in adults and children over 2 years old. It may be used alone or in combination with other medications. Also Topamax as a preventive measure against migraine and headaches; Topamax will not help if the headache already begun.
How Taken
Don’t take Topamax in larger amounts or for longer period than it recommended for you, ask your doctor for any dosage changes. Take Topamax with a glass of water (with or without meal). Drink extra fluids while taking Topamax, this will lower the risk of having kidney stones or an electrolyte imbalance.
