Augmentin is a penicillin based antibiotic. The medicine is dispensed as oral tablets (500mg and 875mg).
Drug Uses
The key compound is a mixture of amoxicillin and clavulanate potassium which has proved to be an effective treatment for bacterial infections such as pneumonia, ear infections, sinusitis, urinary tract infections, skin infections, and bronchitis. It may be used for other bacterial infections not mentioned here.
